D&B Farm and Livestock is a first-generation black-owned farm outside of Atlanta, GA run by Brianna Boyd and her mother Shanna McIntosh. Brianna Boyd, currently pursuing a degree in animal science and employed as a veterinary technician, has drawn from her course-work in sustainable agriculture and her experience in animal care and husbandry to fine-tune their crop plan and livestock enterprises. Having maintained a garden throughout her life to provide for her family, Shanna McIntosh brings expertise in the produce side of their operation. D&B Farm and Livestock also participates in programs with the Athens Land Trust, where Brianna has honed her farming skills and experience through regular volunteering as a part of their Incubator Farm Program.
