Sierra Valley Farms is a 65-acre certified organic farm and native plant nursery situated on the Middle Fork of the Feather River in the majestic Sierra Valley.
Gary and Kim Romano have been farming Sierra Valley Farms since 1996, when they took all the 3rd generation farm corrals with 50 years of composted manure to experiment with organic vegetable varieties. The team primarily consists of Gary and his father, Lou, as well as volunteers. Gary has also written several books on farming.
Sierra Valley was looking to professionally install 3,000 feet of 8-foot deer fence to get ahead of the deer season.
Sierra Valley Farms paid back their loan in full with funds from a conversation easement from a land trust with an 8.0% interest rate.
