Overview

Reason for Fundraising

Narrow Road Farm is looking to expand and enhance its current operation to meet the growing demands of the community. We would like to use the funds to accomplish the following:

1. Complete the high tunnels by building the end walls, skin the structure, and add supplemental heat

By completing the high tunnels, we will expand our production model and be able to grow all four seasons. We would be one of the few farms within the region that will be able to provide high-quality ingredients outside of the typical growing season and believe this will help us capture a greater market. The finished high tunnels will also help us earn revenue during the winter months and stabilize our gross net.

2. Expand our existing irrigation system by adding 600 feet of water lines and 7 new frost-free hydrants

Expanding our irrigation system will make watering on the farm less labor intensive and allow members of our small team more time to focus on tasks that will be more lucrative for the farm.

3. Build a new walk-in cooler to help meet the growing demands of our online market

Adding a new walk-in cooler will meet the needs of our growing production model and will ensure that product is not being degraded or going to waste. By raising the capital to help fund these enhancements to our current infrastructure, we are confident we will be able to scale and meet the growing demand for local food within our community.
