I specialize in photographing small-scale farms because I wanted to spend my time doing something I believed in. I'm always amazed at the farmers' hard work to grow healthy, delicious food for people. Not only do small-scale farmers take care of the land, but they support our communities and offer an invaluable service of feeding people. Since the pandemic began, I think more people are starting to realize the true value of our local farmers.
Today, it's even more important to have a digital presence, and good photographs help to tell your story more accurately. I know many of you can take a decent photo with your phone, but it's well worth the time to have a professional visit and take photos of YOU and what you do. I also do short-form videos and have a drone for getting aerial shots of the farm.
I've been a photographer for over 15 years and have been photographing farmers since 2008. I began by photographing farmers near Portland, Oregon and in the last few years have photographed farmers as far away as Japan, Italy, and Hawaii. I feel very fortunate to be able to make my living from helping farmers tell their story.
