Meet the Farmers

Chapul Farms, founded in 2013 by Pat Crowley, is an innovative company dedicated to regeneration through the use of black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) to transform food waste into valuable resources. By processing organic waste, the larvae convert it into nutrient-rich soil amendments (frass) and high-quality livestock feed (larvae). Chapul's innovative and natural approach supports a circular economy and provides a sustainable alternative to industrial livestock feed sources and synthetic fertilizers. By reintroducing life into the waste management side of our food system, Chapul Farms moves us toward a regenerative, zero-waste society.
