Overview

East Fork Cultivars is a craft hemp farm located in Southern Oregon’s Illinois River Valley, using sustainable, sun-grown farming methods to produce high-quality, genetically diverse, CBD-rich cultivars. East Fork maintains a resolute commitment to environmental responsibility, science-based education, and social justice.

Use of Funds

East Fork was fortunate to survive the Oregon Wildfires of 2020, but crops were damaged by the heavy smoke, impacting yields and quality for a significant portion of that season’s harvest. This limited available inventory for 2021 sales. A bridge loan help fund the following:

  • Investment and operating costs related to cultivation for the 2021 harvest.

  • Complete East Fork’s first retail location, the Hemp Bar, in Southeast Portland, which showcases the company’s products and partnerships as a goods maker, a key strategic element for the company’s future.

Regenerative & Sustainable Practices

As one of the first USDA Certified Organic hemp farms in the U.S., East Fork Cultivars strives to protect natural resources and conserve biodiversity through the following methods:

  • Actively planting pollinator-friendly flowers to maintain healthy pollinator populations.

  • Retaining a portion of their farm in its natural wetland state to provide a thriving ecosystem for native wildlife.

  • Utilizing sungrown farming methods not only use less energy and enrich the soil, but also produce high-quality, genetically diverse, cultivars.
